Team Corally, who provide the main prizes for the top three overall championship class winners, have also agreed to provide 8 Corally Touring Car kits as the FTD draw prizes, one for each of the rounds of the 2010 STCC. This is a fantastic gesture by Corally and shows the loyalty and huge support that the Team Corally factory have for the Championship and all the drivers who support it........

Mark Fuller - 1st time out with the 09 on straight arms on tarmac - finished 2nd overall.
Round 1 took place this weekend. This was our first time out with the Phi'09 with the new optional straight suspension arms fitted. We were also using the new Team Corally 10.5 Pro/RED Series motor and running in the TC2 class (10.5T). Mark Fuller is driving the car and after initial testing we found the car had huge steering and massive rotation and Mark was driving extremely well to handle the problem! We worked all day on the Saturday trying to correct this and whilst we were making progress, it was still an obvious handful in some corners and clearly not right.
Adam Pryke - 1st time out with his 09 on straight arms on tarmac - finished 7th overall. After Mark had to leave, Adam Pryke took a couple of turns as I tried to identify and correct the problem, we improved it, but I was still unhappy with it as Brent will testify as I was apparently a little distant over dinner while I was trying to identify what was wrong. Come the race day, whilst we had made some progress, I was still not happy with the handling and it was playing on my mind. Round 1, was 2nd fastest overall in qualifying, but 3s adrift of the FTQ, the errant handling was still proving a problem. Then while helping another driver, I suddenly realised the problem - thanks to Jason Moggeridge for the trigger that let me make the link to the problem. I ran back to our pitting area and made a simple change to the rear and the car was suddenly totally planted! Mark then went out and took TQ in round 2 by almost a lap. Mark finished 3rd overall in FTQ after round 3, but could now focus on gearing! For the finals we switched speedo and were now experimenting on the motor gearing. We started the day on 23/77 (6.69:1), ended up going up 1 tooth each round, ending the day on 27/77 (5.70:1), and a motor temp of around 125F. Mark finshed second overall but won the last final convincingly over the class winner, who said he just couldn't keep up with Mark in the last final and he was really trying! Considering where we were less than 24hrs previously, an excellent result. We still have some work to do on the gearing as I don't think we have got it quite right yet for the motor/speedo combo, but it certainly goes well. The setup is now sorted and the car handles superbly, as all who were watching will tell you! As promised, the full set-up sheet is now online on the Setup Sheets page.
I would also mention fellow team drivers, Adam Pryke (TC2 class 10.5T) also driving a Phi'09 on straight arms, qualified 6th overall and finished 7th in the A final with a 5th/7th/5th, and Jason Moggeridge (TC3 class 13.5T) also running straight arms, who qualified 2nd in the B final and finished 2nd overall with a 6th/2nd/1st. Complete meeting results and report on Centralbooking.org
